During my studies in Germany, I visited and interviewed the five percussionists whom I believe constitute the seminal generation of European percussion soloists: Christoph Caskel, Jean-Pierre Drouet, Sylvio Gualda, Maurizio Ben-Omar and Gaston Sylvestre.  I am in the process of translating and editing these interviews for my qualification exams at UC -San Diego.  The texts will be presented here in late 2014.
